Every now and again something new pops up in Victoria that gets us excited. In the past we’ve fallen in love with The Pedaler, a local company that offers guided bicycle tours showcasing Victoria’s food & beverage culture.

The new kid on the block that has everyone talking is HikeVictoria.com. Run by local photographer and long time resident of Victoria, Mark Vukobrat offers scenic hikes and walks expertly guided in and around beautiful Victoria, BC. Hike Victoria offers door-to-door service from our hotel, plus you can add a tour of the Sea Cider Farm and Ciderhouse to any walk or hike.

There are three options to choose from:

Walk #1 – An easy walk of about 1 kilometer. This walk includes 4 stops with stunning views of Mount Baker, Juan de Fuca Straight and the snow capped Olympic Mountains. Total walk time: 3 hours.

Hike #1 – A moderate hike with a round trip distance of about 5 kilometers. A trip along Beach Drive allows for stunning views of the ocean, a journey through some of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Victoria and a climb to the top of Victoria with spectacular 360° views of the city are all part of this “Top of Victoria” hike. Total hike time: 3.5 hours.

Hike #2 – A moderate hike with a round trip distance of 5.5 kilometers. This hike, called “Top of Gowland Tod” provides amazing views of Finlayson Arm, the beautiful fjord that cuts deep into Vancouver Island. The final ascent of this hike will take you to 430 meters or about 1400 feet above sea level. This is the best hike that is close to town for people who want to experience the natural beauty of the area away from the city. Total hike time: 3.5 hours.

Many Victorians are passionate about being outdoors and enjoying the spectacular scenery – now visitors to Victoria can do what the locals love to do thanks to Hike Victoria.
