Sonny is a 4-year old yellow Labrador retriever, who was originally trained to be a guide dog. A career change in July 2008, led him to beautiful Lake Louise, Alberta. He now spends his days greeting guests with a wag of his tail in the hotel lobby, and accompanying them on strolls along the Lakeshore Promenade. Of course, he does enjoy the occasional belly scratch and snooze on his comfy cushion as well. This program was developed in partnership with the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, who provide guide dogs to visually impaired Canadians.

You can make an appointment to take Sonny for a walk, by visiting the Concierge Desk at the hotel.

You can write to Sonny too at Sonny.Louise@Fairmont.com or find him on Facebook with the name "Sonny Louise". Sonny would love to hear from you!
