Hotel creates new position of Proposal Coordinator to assist in the heartfelt matters of creating the “Perfect Proposal”

One of the biggest decisions in life – “who will I marry?” is quickly followed by another – “how will I propose?” The new Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, BC has been receiving more and more SOS calls to help play Cupid and as a result, has created the new position of Proposal Coordinator.

The Proposal Coordinator, a partner in love, can assist so that “popping the question” is a walk in the park (Stanley Park, of course!) For the individual making the lover’s leap, a selection of packages are available, along with amorous a la carte offerings to make the proposal as unique as the couple.

The Rockstar, for example, offers a night in the Chairman’s Suite (aka “Rockstar Suite”) with an intimate dinner on a stunning private terrace with a serenading musician and a bottle of celebratory bubbly on ice. The Indecent Proposal, teaches a couple to “rub the one you’re with” by providing massage lessons in a private suite. For the brave at heart or for duos short on time, the Shot Gun: Get it Done package wraps it all up and not only assists with the proposal but has the wedding plan in place so the ceremony can immediately follow.

The Proposal Coordinator can also provide an array of options – whether it’s fireworks or a message in the clouds; the sky’s the limit. The only rules of engagement? Bring the love – and don’t forget the ring bling!

To set the romantic stage, the suitor simply contacts the Proposal Coordinator who will create a one-of-a-kind plan through a series of questions which will reveal what makes this couple’s journey special and tie it into the Perfect Proposal. A variety of partners have jumped on board such as jewelers, florists, spas, and fashion retailers to help provide a personalized experience.

“Our hotel has become extremely popular for weddings but we also discovered a number of proposals were taking place,” explains Randy Zupanski, general manager at Fairmont Pacific Rim. “With all the creativity and behind-the-scenes planning, we felt the position of proposal coordinator would be a good addition."

The hotel’s wedding specialist, Jennifer Jones, has taken on the additional role and can be reached at 604-695-5451 or by email at jennifer.jones@fairmont.com. With several hundred weddings in her repertoire, and a black book of contacts, Jennifer is certainly experienced when it comes to romantic endeavors.
