Many children ages three through 17 wish for candy, toys and video games, but children with life-threatening medical conditions have different wishes. Some wish to be an actor or a rock star for a day, or to be a paramedic or police officer. Others wish to meet their favourite hockey player or Disney princess, or perhaps travel to Hawaii or the US Open.
Our team at Fairmont Pacific Rim loves helping grant the wishes of Make-A-Wish® BC & Yukon children and we host families each year to assist in making their dreams a reality. In the spirit of giving, we support Make-A-Wish® BC & Yukon on their magical wish-granting mission by working together to not only provide a comfortable place for families to stay, but to create unique experiences with our culinary team and incorporate individual touches that turn moments into memories for these special guests.
Make-A-Wish® BC & Yukon, along with the national office, eight regional chapters grant magical wishes to children in need from coast-to-coast. Make-A-Wish Canada is an affiliate of Make-A-Wish® International, the largest wish-granting organization in the world, making dreams and wishes come true for more than 350,000 children since 1980.
