A 25th Wedding Anniversary that Nobody Expected

John and I had our first date April 1, 1984. We were both tentative. He had been married twice before and wasn't certain he had the skills for a successful relationship. I had been married once before and vowed never to do that again. Time went by and we found we enjoyed each other's company and worked well together. Nonetheless, when he proposed my first reaction was "Why? Are you pregnant?" He responded, "If I can't be married to you, I can't be married to anyone!"
April 1, 1987 we married and went to the Chateau for our honeymoon. It was a fabulous, memorable occasion!
April 1, 2012 we returned to the Chateau to celebrate the quickest twenty five years in history! Children, jobs, deaths of those we love....Good times and hard times.
Being at the Chateau we talked, laughed, and cried remembering the years that have passed. The staff were amazing, sending candy and cards to our room and congratulating us each time we saw them. Everyone we met helped us to recap the years...
