Ramsey, the African Serval, welcomed at the Fairmont Pacific Rim
This is a picture of Ramsey, my African Serval, at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, celebrating my 50th birthday. This is a birthday that almost didn't happen as my family had been told in November that I would probably die. I had had hernia surgery and the surgeon accidentally punctured my bowel. After being in a coma for a month and six surgeries later, I started back on the long and arduous road to recovery.
My 50th birthday was coming up in July and I wasn't too excited about it. My husband went ahead and arranged a 50th birthday party for me, in a suite on the Gold Floor, at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. The celebration couldn't have been better and I was delighted. The staff were very attentive to detail and even welcomed my serval, Ramsey and his friend Stewie. They even gave Stewie a tour of the Gold Lounge. I have always enjoyed my stays at the Pacific Rim but this was truly a wonderful experience, being with family, friends and my treasured serval. What an awesome way to celebrate life.
