Celebrating 23 years at Fairmont Chateau Whistler
This year we decided to go big and celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary in Whistler, one of the most beautiful places in the world! We booked in at the beautiful and famous Fairmont Chateau Whistler to make this week-end first class in every way. My husband and I got married very young (19 and 20 years old!) so celebrating "big" wasn't in the cards for us for many years as we worked hard to build our business and relationship amidst having 3 beautiful boys. Like most young couples we had to grow up very fast learning how to get along and get to know each other. There were some "bumps" for sure along the way but we held strong and worked hard at keeping our relationship open, honest and committed. Now after 23 years we can both say without a doubt that we are more crazy about each than the day we first met! When we booked our week-end get away we wanted to celebrate big not only by staying at a 5 star Fairmont but also by experiencing what Whistler had to offer for thrills. We decided to try Zip Lining and the picture we have submitted is us getting ready to experience Canada's longest, fastest zip line with Super Fly zip lining on our anniversary August 4, 2013. We ended the day poolside at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, relaxing in the most spectacular poolside setting. We ordered wine to the hot tub and raised our glass to 23 years of hard work, dedication, commitment and a relationship that has been worth it all! To be able to experience this week-end with your best friend by your side after 23 years is more than I could have dreamed possible.
